THE STORY:
Francisco Madero knows a spark is needed to unite Mexico against their dictator, Porfirio Diaz.
As the sun sets on March 6, 1911, Madero is defeated & wounded following the Battle of Casas Grandes. Yet, in defeat, his courage on the battlefield electrifies the people and gives them what they need: a leader. Within weeks, his army more than doubles. Within months, the Maderistas have won the revolution. By year’s end, Mexico’s first free election in decades gives Madero the presidency.
