HAZY ipa | 6.8% ABV

AVAILABILITY:

VETERANS DAY WEEKEND - NOVEMBER 8TH

DESCRIPTION:

Hazy IPA with a varying hop blend each year. The 2024 Veterans Blend has a soft-mouthfeel with citrus, tropical and floral notes. It is comprised of five different Pacific Northwest-grown hop varieties, that include Citra®, Crystal, Ekuanot®, El Dorado® and Simcoe®.

THE STORY:

Each year, Yakima Chief Hops collaborates with military veteran brewers, and partners with a different nonprofit organization that supports various aspects of the veteran community. Proceeds from the 2024 Veterans Blend hops will be donated to Stop Soldier Suicide, the only national nonprofit focused solely on solving the issue of suicide among U.S. veterans and service members.

Since 2001, military suicides have claimed over 131,000 lives, and veterans are at a 72% higher risk of suicide than those who haven't served.

Stop Soldier Suicide's goal is to reduce the military suicide rate by 40% no later than 2030.

We’re proud to brew this beer in honor of New Hampshire veterans, and raise awareness of the battles they still fight.

THE LABEL:

In 2017, the commander of Able Company of the 1-169th AVN in the New Hampshire Army National Guard approached the founders of Able Ebenezer - both former Army officers - to use the Able Ebenezer logo on the unit flight patch. A variation of this unit flight patch is prominently displayed on the Veterans Blend label, while the Able Ebenezer logo appears on the Black Hawk helicopters of the 1-169th AVN.
